Brussels sprouts have really had a glow up recently. They're not on par with the prom queen popularity of cauliflower but they've come a long way since the squishy gross veggie of my childhood.
Recently I bought a 2 pound bag of Brussels sprouts at Costco. I got creative with them for a hot breakfast and in a cold make-ahead salad. Chose your own Brussels sprout adventure! As our time on the mainland comes to a close my husband and I have been eating and experiencing as much as possible around Seattle. For more Seattle content start here.
We went to Lumen Field (formerly Century Link) where the Seahawks (NFL) and Sounders (MLS) play for an unforgettable evening and meal on the field! It's called Field to Table and it is so unique and delicious. We were there while Chef Sabrina Brzusek of the restaurant Swine Dining was hosting. As a career Event Planner I am hard to impress with novel things like this and WOW wow WOW. This was truly well planned and carefully conducted. First we decided to move back to Hawaii. Then we put everything we own into a POD to make the voyage across the ocean. Now we've finally sat down to answer questions about our move!
Plus, take a tour of the house with the fig tree while it's perfectly staged in video 34. Questions:
Figs and Flights Video #33 is Packing the POD!
This was the first big step in our move Back to Hawaii. We had 5 days to load a 16' x 8' POD storage container with all of our household goods. The countdown began to get our Earthly belongings into the POD and on their way across the ocean by boat! Watch while we pack the POD while the days quickly pass! There may be accidents, fights, handstands, and/or cartwheels involved along the way. Figs and Flights {at home} is back! Start here if you want to see more of our 1948 home in Seattle and how we've renovated and decorated over years. We're moving Back to Hawaii and our house is officially on the market.
When we renovated the kitchen back in December we found a time capsule hidden behind the cabinets. That deserves a post and/or video all of it's own! Regardless we didn't seal up the crown molding in the kitchen until the day these photos were taken. I finally added my own time capsule, as well as the previous one, back into the house at the very last minute. Enjoy a few progress pictures and those of our finished kitchen. The whole house has been professionally staged, I'd never ever have counters this clean HA! |
