The motto at Figs and Flights is "life fueled by food and travel." {Life and Links} is how I share my lists for creating a calm, happy, fulfilling life between the food and travel adventures. The themes will vary seasonally, include tips and tricks and my favorite items aka the stuff that's so good I need to share it with you. Here's what I want you to know about the things I'm recommending to you:
This isn't the most exciting post I've ever compiled. Between vacations and weekends, though, I spend the majority of my life at an office. I want my space to be neat and my time to be productive. The desk feels like it's mine and has everything I need to keep me busy, comfortable, and on task. My three Office Favorites are perfect for your desk at your workplace or wherever you spend your day. Grab one for yourself or your favorite productivity junkie's Christmas stocking, Advent calendar, or Haukkanah gift. Daily CalendarI love a daily calendar, especially one with a quick and positive message for every day. I never know the date and I glance at this little happy little calendar often throughout the day. This calendar is especially great because it can be used over and over again each year, you never have to buy a new one! Burt's Bees Hand SalveBurt makes the BEST lip balm (see more about that here) and Burt's Hand Salve is equally excellent. I prefer this salve over lotion for a few reasons. The scent is mild so the whole office isn't yelling "what smells!?" in an overly dramatic way. More importantly the texture isn't oily so you're not creating a slick keyboard or mouse after you apply it. An added bonus is that it's a 3 ounce container so it can be taken in a carry on! Time Blocking CubeI saved the best for last. I LOVE this Time Blocking Cube. At home I'm always setting timers with Alexa to keep me on track and on time. This little cube is great for doing the same at work without all of the yelling at a virtual assistant. Sure, you could use your phone but that's too distracting for me (OHH LOOK INSTAGRAM!). This time blocking cube is SO easy to use. You turn the number that you want upright and your timer has begun. You can see exactly how much time is left on it and adjust the volume between two settings. When the timer goes off you just set it upright again and it stops. I'll use 10 minutes for making a to-do list, allow 20 minutes to check and reply to new emails, and 45 minutes for starting a new project. It really helps to keep me productive and maximize my time. There are several colors and options for increments of time. I just might buy myself another one for at home! These three little items help to make my day more enjoyable, comfortable, and productive. I hope you'll enjoy one, two, or all of them, too! If you love this post you'll also enjoy my lists for Mellow Mornings and for Falling into Halloween (and cooler weather). Similar Posts
