Happy Friday! I am thrilled, excited, and terrified to tell you that tickets are on sale for the first Figs and Flights {event}. The Neapolitan Pizza Event is two weeks from today and tickets are available now. They'll be available they sell out or until April 9, whichever comes first. Hit the {events} tab above or click on the photo below to get your ticket(s) now! Why Italy, Naples, and Pizza?Great question. Italy - I'd been trying to get to Italy for as long as I can remember. When my husband and I started dreaming up our honeymoon destinations my first pick was Italy. (He wanted Ireland and we did both!) We went, we ate, we loved it, and were there again less than two years later. It's going to a lifelong love affair for Italia and I. Naples - Naples, or Napoli, is perched right on the water. It's a crowded, complicated, and lively city with SO MUCH history. There's an entire underground web of tunnels, aqueducts, and even a theatre. It was the most bombed city in WWII and it's the birthplace of pizza. Pizza - During our visit to Naples we ate as many pizzas, or pizze, as we could. Neapolitan pizza is so, so delicious and unlike any other pizza pie you've had before. The crust is soft, flexible, and a little dusty. The toppings are few but are only selected from the freshest ingredients and best cheeses. The rumors indicate that true Neapolitan pizza is the very best because of the volcanic ash in the water from nearby Mount Vesuvius! While we're nowhere near Vesuvius here in Seattle, there's an international organization for Neapolitan Pizzerias and we've got more of them than any other city in the US! Now we frequent these Neapolitan certified pizzerias in Seattle to get our fix and want YOU to join us. It'll be delicious, che buono, I promise! Can't Make It?If you can't join is on April 12, that's OK! We'll get together again in May for Irish Hospitality. Head over to Facebook to follow Figs and Flights and express interest in either event: Neapolitan Pizza on April 12 and/or Irish Hospitality on May 17. Similar Posts
