Earlier this year I launched Figs and Flights {events}. They're an in person celebration of life fueled by food and travel. They are an extension of the Figs and Flights blog and brand. The {events} take place in Seattle and focus on another place, it's culture, and cuisine.
The first {event} was Neapolitan Pizza in April. The second {event} was Irish Hospitality in May. The third Figs and Flights {event} was a redo of the first one, Neapolitan Pizza Part II, this time taking place in August. Let's recap the third {event}, shall we? It's finally time for another Figs and Flights {event}.
The Neapolitan Pizza {event} in April was so great that we're doing it again in August! My parents will be in town and it's now fig season so we're heading back to Tutta Bella for Part II. It's the same format and menu although this time we're doing an early (4 pm) dinner on a Sunday. Tickets are on sale now through next Friday, August 2 at 10 pm. It's $38 per person and that includes your salad, pizza, and dessert, plus tax and gratuity. If you'd like some adult beverages, just start a tab with our server or at the bar. Get your ticket now! The very first Figs and Flights {event} was a success! To sum it up in just a few words the event was fun, scary, and worth it.
My adrenaline was high all night and my nerves really kicked in just before I spoke to the entire room. Once that was done I was able to enjoy myself, a glass of wine, and the wonderful food and company. Relive the night with me, whether you were around for the original event or not. Tried It posts recap my journey with a food or product I've never used before. I test it out and share the results with you. Let's get something straight right away: I LOVE carbs and never aspire to quit them. (WHEW, I'm glad we established that truth together.) However I am not opposed to creative ways to eat less carbs. Enter cauliflower crust pizza. One of my favorite bloggers, Catherine of Rabbit Food for my Bunny Teeth, shared her love for Trader Joe's (frozen) Cheese Pizza with a Cauliflower Crust and I was persuaded to try it myself.
During my next trip to Trader Joe's I purchased both the Cheese Pizza with Cauliflower Crust and the plain Cauliflower Pizza Crust. To keep things simple we'll call the Cheese Pizza with Cauliflower Crust simply Cheese Pizza and the plain Cauliflower Pizza Crust just Cauliflower Crust. Below I'll tell you all about these two items and the difference between them, answer some questions, and share my recommendation on which cauliflower pizza crust to try. |
