Yesterday we had a busy day with work and a farewell dinner for some good friends of ours. It was a great time but the "see you laters" made me weepy.
When we were finally cozy at home we relaxed with an old Chiratmas movie. I'd never seen "White Christmas" before and the music, dancing, and old, charming humor and romance was just what was needed to cheer me up and get us in the Christmas spirit! We borrowed a copy from the library but I'm sure you can find it on TV, Netflix, or Hulu.

Happy December! We're kicking off our Advent calendar and month worth of activities leading up to Christmas.
We've done a ton of travel lately and I'm so excited to stay put in Seattle for Christmas, enjoying the season and celebrating with my family who's coming to visit. This is just the second time we've spent Christmas in Seattle. The first time we'd just moved into our house, "the house with the fig tree", so this year's celebration will be much more relaxing and cozy. Last night we donned our elf hats and went to a local brewery for their tree lighting ceremony. "Brew Santa" did the honors as well as posed for photos in the actual brewing room! They released a cherry Christmas ale, ensuring that all of the grown ups have a jolly good time. How cute is our Polaroid? |
