Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels, Texas

Visiting Texas in the summertime has its perks and getting to Schlitterbahn Water Park in New Braunfels is number one! This is (allegedly) the world's best waterpark.

​The park is huge and has some amazing rides. My favorites included:

• ​Master Blaster Uphill Water Coaster
• The Falls, the longest waterpark ride with the aquaveyor
• Congo River Expedition

​Bring your water shoes because the ground is super hot in some areas of the park.

Our family in Texas lives in a community on a lake so we spent tons of time in, on and around the water.

The Original Black's Barbecue

There's nothing like Texas BBQ and sweet tea.

We're always eating at The Original Black's Barbecue in New Braunfels when we visit. Our family feasted here eating smoked meat, ribs, sausages, etc. 

What does a vegetarian eat at a BBQ place? Pickles, bread, macaroni and cheese, potato salad, green beans and dessert!
