Bonjour! We just visited Paris, France, for the very first time. While I'll do a full download of our favorite food and activities soon, I thought an immediate and basic overview of our visit will be helpful to me in the future. Hopefully it will also be helpful for you!
Overall I LOVE love LOVED Paris and would and will go back again in a heartbeat. Our time there was not nearly long enough.
'Fav 5' travel guides include 5 of the best spots I've found to eat, drink, and explore in a city while visiting. This is the first of a two part guide to Nashville, Tennessee, focused specifically on the sights and sounds in downtown Nashville.
Recent Fav 5 travel guide locations include Vancouver, BC in Canada and Disneyland Park in Anaheim, California.
Nashville, Tennessee. What began as a high school band trip for my cousin and her 15 year old daughter turned into a family vacation for 10 people! We took on Music City like it was our job. While a large group with various interests and staggering ages wasn't easy to coordinate, we all carefully selected which activities and tours to go on during our 5 days in Nashville.
Nashville is both the capital of and the most populated city in Tennessee. This guide will cover locations specifically in downtown Nashville including "Lower Broadway." Named for the street running through it, Lower Broadway is the heart of the country music district. It is dotted with stores filled with boots and hats galore and you can't count the number of cycle bar tours and bachelorette parties whizzing by. You'll be delighted to catch colorful murals and live music around every corner.
Travel tip: Checking the Uber website before flying into any city is always a great idea. Many airports have the "ride sharing" pickup in some corner of a back building somewhere, accessible only by hidden elevators or water taxis, and you can waste plenty of time looking for it. Here is your guide on how to catch an Uber in the Nashville airport (BNA).
Fav 5 is a series of travel guides in which I highlight 5 of the best spots I've found to eat, drink, and explore in a place while visiting. This time it's all about Vancouver, in British Columbia (BC) in Canada.
Vancouver is a Canadian city located in the province of British Columbia. It's just about 2.5 hours' drive time from Seattle, Washington, to Vancouver. I was shocked to learn that Vancouver is the 4th most densely populated city in North America after New York City, San Francisco, and Mexico City.
Recent posts include Disney Parks basics and a travel guide for Disney's California Adventure Park. Today includes my favorite 5 things from Disneyland!
Disneyland. The first Disney park, the OG. Walt Disney even had an apartment in the park, just above the "Fire Department." t's the most classic, charming, and nostalgic of all of the parks, in my opinion. It is nestled in Anaheim, California and just next door to Disney's California Adventure.
I have always been a Disney lover. In Kindergarten my matching backpack and lunch bag proudly displayed the Little Mermaid. My childhood bedroom was decorated with the magic of Aladdin and his pals Genie, Abu, and Jasmine. My dance class filled with ballerinas performed a carefully choreographed routine to the "Circle of Life" song from The Lion King. When the 101 Dalmatians live action movie came out in 1996 it was the first ever parent-free movie that saw with my friends. Disney is weaved throughout my childhood life at home.
As a kid growing up in Pennsylvania I was lucky to travel to both of the Disney Parks. I visited Walt Disney World, in Florida, a few times throughout my childhood. Since I've got an Uncle on the West Coast I also made it to Disneyland, in California, as a kid and later to Disney's California Adventure as a teenager.
Even as a "grown up" I have been to the Disney Parks in both Florida and California in the last few years. My family in PA includes 5 kids who are currently between the ages of 11 and 15 and we've been to Orlando twice with a varying cast of Grandmas, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins to support and enjoy the Disney Magic for ourselves. My husband is from California and his family lives within an hour of the parks. When we were just dating I demanded we visit Disneyland on my first trip to his hometown and he obliged! Since then we've made a handful visits over the years with friends and family.
Maybe you, too, love Disney. Maybe you don't but your kids are begging for a trip to the parks. Maybe you go often and can't stop reading reviews like this one for just one more nugget of information. Here are a few need to know basics regarding Disney Parks that will be useful for you in considering or planning a trip to the MAGICAL Disney Parks.
