Fav 5 {Travel Guides} are a short list of the best things I've found to do, see, eat, or drink in a particular location. This guide is for Rome, Italy. This Travel Guide covers my second trip to Rome. See Roma - Rome, Italy - Part 1 {Travel Guide} for even more of the Eternal City. Look no further for more posts about International Travel and additional Italian cities including Florence, Naples, and Palermo. Rome is a dream. It's the Eternal City. All roads lead to it! When in Rome, do as the Romans do, whatever that means. Rome feels like the center of Italy, Europe, and even the world. It's the first city we touched down in during our first big trip out of the country and a place that I will always gladly return to. Just two years after Bryce and first I visited Rome we went back, again, with my parents. We weren't quite seasoned travelers but we knew enough to make the most of a few short days in the Eternal City. We had a well oiled plan for our visit including many of the historical sights, a visit with the Pope, and so SO much delicious Italian food.

Fav 5 Travel Guides are a short list of the best things I've found to do, see, eat, or drink in a particular location. This guide is for Firenze - Florence, Italy. Additional Italian cities include Rome, Naples, and Palermo. Firenze or Florence is a city in Central Italy. It's located in the Tuscany region in the middle of "the boot." I visited Florence for three jam-packed days in 2016 with both of my parents and my husband, Bryce.
We all LOVED Florence because of its manageable size and walkability. It is a city that's equal parts gorgeous and historic. We hopped between sites and museums, ate as often as we could, and walked several miles each day in Florence. This was my parents' first trip out of the US and Florence was a perfect first destination. Our second stop was Rome, in all of its grandeur, so we appreciated the slower pace of Florence before the real craziness crept in. Fav 5 Travel Guides are a short list of the best things I've found to do, see, eat, or drink in a particular location. This guide is for Palermo, the city located on the Italian island of Sicily. Look no further for more posts about International Travel and guides for Rome and Naples, Italy. In 2014 my husband and I took our honeymoon trip to Italy and Ireland. We started in Rome, journeyed through Naples, then took a ferry boat to Sicily. This Travel Guide will take you to the Sicilian city of Palermo.
My family originated from a nearby town which we didn't visit on this trip. Being in Sicily was amazing and so special for me. It was hotter than hell when we visited in August and we loved the vibe of the island of Sicily. The rumors that Sicily is not like mainland Italy are totally true, from what we saw! We loved the food, the sweets, and the adventure best. Join me for a little tour of Sicily! This guide is for Rome, Italy. Look no further for more posts about International Travel and a Fav 5 Travel Guide for Naples, Italy. Visiting Italy has been a dream of mine for my entire life. I finally touched down in the motherland in 2014. It was my very first trip abroad and Bryce and I were celebrating our honeymoon!
Our first stop was, of course, Rome. We were both new to international travel and we were so proud to have planned the whole trip ourselves. We spent 4 days in Rome and absolutely fell in love with the city. Spoiler alert: We love Rome so much we'd go back again just two years later. Our next and second stop would be Napoli, or Naples, Italy. |
