Figs and Flights {at home} is back! Start here if you want to see more of our 1948 home in Seattle and how we've renovated and decorated over years. We're moving Back to Hawaii and our house is officially on the market.
When we renovated the kitchen back in December we found a time capsule hidden behind the cabinets. That deserves a post and/or video all of it's own! Regardless we didn't seal up the crown molding in the kitchen until the day these photos were taken. I finally added my own time capsule, as well as the previous one, back into the house at the very last minute. Enjoy a few progress pictures and those of our finished kitchen. The whole house has been professionally staged, I'd never ever have counters this clean HA! Figs and Flights {at home} is back! We toured most of "the house with the fig tree" back in the early months of quarantine and now we're back with an exciting new project. We're moving back to Hawaii!
We're CRAZY! We know. We don't know when we'll make the move so in the meantime we're doing a HUGE project to increase the resale value (aka MO' MONAY) of our house. We are remodeling the kitchen. To see what the kitchen looks like currently check out the photos here or watch the video there. Figs and Flights {videos} launch every Tuesday. Typically we talk about travel - the funny, the scary, and expensive mistakes, our best tips for traveling often, selecting experiences, and sharing the duties of travel planning. Since we've been quarantined for 2 months and unable to travel Figs and Flights {at home} is the detour in the meantime. See our 1948 house in Seattle, how we've renovated and updated it, and how we balance our travels and home life. We've video toured the kitchen and the living & dining rooms. Today we're covering the bathroom & bedrooms and next week we'll finish up with the yard & green room. Hop over to YouTube to watch the videos and [subscribe] to show your support! Last week I didn't post any regular blog content (neither a Tuesday video nor a Friday blog post per usual) in support of #blackouttuesday, Black Lives Matter, and justice for George Floyd. Join me for a walk through the bedrooms and bathroom of our Seattle house which was built in 1948. The bathroom was the UGLIEST I'd ever seen, it's come such a long way. Explore the pros (charm!) and cons (small closets) of a post-war home with me. See where we keep our suitcases and travel sized items for ease of use and packing.
If you'd rather see all of the before and after photos of the bathroom & bedrooms, please do! Figs and Flights {videos} launch every Tuesday. Join me for a walk through the best rooms in our charming house built in 1948. I love the living and dining rooms most for their charm via hardwood floors and arched doorways. The amount of SUNLIGHT in these rooms is amazing thanks to corner windows, picture windows, and sliding glass doors. Here in Seattle it's especially important to let the SUNSHINE into your home and life when we can! |
